Dr. Nisheeth Agrawal

Principal Dentist

Dr. Nisheeth is a General Dentist with nearly 10 years’ experience in a mix of both public and private practices in the Hunter Region in NSW, most of which have been in Newcastle alone.

He is involved in all areas of dentistry and has special interest in dental veneers, wisdom teeth surgeries, dentures and full mouth rehabilitation. Using the most advanced technology at Tooth n Care Dr. Nisheeth has successfully performed a wide range of surgical and non-surgical dental procedures.

To keep up-to-date with the latest developments he has belongs to various study groups, and attends seminars on most aspects of dentistry.

He is a gentle, compassionate and experienced clinician who is committed to improving the oral health of all his current and future patients. He also has a great sense of humour which patients pick instantly. With Dr. Nish around you rarely feel anxious.

Outside dentistry he is a complete cricket junkie. And as a father of two enjoys spending quality time with his kids.

Dr Navneet Karan

General Dentist

Dr Nav is an integral part of our Tooth n Care Team. Receiving his bachelor’s degree from Charles Sturt University in Orange NSW, he has been working in the Newcastle and Hunter region since 2017. He was recently recognised by the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons as an exceptional dentist and was bestowed the title of Fellow of the College. 

As a fellow of the college Dr Nav has the skills and knowledge to manage complex cases and relishes the challenge of complete mouth rehabilitation and management of patients with complex dental needs.

He strives to go above and beyond for all his patients and aspires to remove the stigma of a painful or scary dentist. He also encourages people to be involved in their treatment planning and enjoys learning about his patients.

Dr Nav has combined his passion for learning and for helping people into his career as a dentist. His patient centric approach coupled with his gentle, calm and caring manner makes for a unique dental experience.

Outside of the clinic, if he is not reading about anything and everything, Dr Nav can be found cooking exotic meals or indulging his inner child playing video games.

Dr Radhika Bhatla

Dentist (Braces and Invisalign)

Dr. Radhika Bhatla is currently an accredited Invisalign and Clear Correct Provider. She has completed further education and training in orthodontics under the acclaimed Dr. Mahony and is also completing a postgraduate diploma in Digital Orthodontics.

If you’re having sleep troubles, she can also evaluate your needs to see if an oral device may be helpful for you.

She loves travelling and has done plenty of volunteer work overseas involving dentistry and looks forward to embarking on her next quest soon. She is also a budding pianist, and loves to play alongside her daughter.

Zoe Xu

Oral Health Therapist

Zoe is our very passionate Oral Heath Therapist with high standard for oral health and hygiene.

She graduated from the University of Newcastle with a Bachelor of Oral Health Therapy in 2019 and completed her Bachelor of Oral Heath in 2016. Her extensive knowledge in the field has enabled her in perusing her passion to promote overall oral health and tooth care. 

At Tooth n Care, Zoe provides a wide range of preventative and restorative dentistry services to patients of all ages. She has a gentle and caring approach with kids. She successfully provides dental treatments for children under the age of 18 including routine check-ups and clean, fillings, extraction of baby teeth, fissure sealants, stainless steel crowns and much more. Zoe’s also sees adult patients requiring routine dental check-ups and clean, fillings, management of periodontal disease (i.e. gum disease), professional teeth whitening procedures and general oral health care. Where patients require more complex restorative treatment such as larger tooth build-ups, crowns, root canals or extractions, Zoe works alongside or in guidance with or refer to our experienced dentists to provide optimum care and offer best outcomes. 

Zoe is a fun and cheerful personality who loves to travel and meet new people from around the globe.

Lowiza Abbas

Dental Assistant

Lowiza has been with us since the starting of Tooth n Care. 

With her long term experience of more than 10 years in the dental field as a dental nurse and completion of CERT IV in Dental Assisting; she is efficient, fast paced, professional and a positive term member. She has successfully and diligently assisted our dentists for lengthy and complex procedures.

Lowiza has been an excellent addition to our Tooth n Care family. With her confidence and larger than life attitude, she makes working around her fun and easy. She has a great sense of humour which makes everyone around her very comfortable. 

She is a mom of 2 active children which keeps he on her toes when she is not assisting.

Penelope Phanmani

Dental Assistant(Trainee)

Pene joined Tooth n Care this year.

She is currently completing her CERT III in Dental Assisting and has taken up part-time traineeship with us. 

She is enthusiastic towards her duties and dedicated to her role as a dental assistant. She is well presented at all times and is polite to talk to.

Her willingness to learn, assistance in all areas of the practice, professional work ethics and openness to feedback makes her a true achiever. We are certain soon she will make a great team member as a permanent employee.
